Welcome to the Team!

Hey Pal,

My name is Uncle LYHME, and I am the owner and founder of this community, which we call the LYHMECommunity. I am glad that you are here. What a wild ride it has been and will be with you here. I'd like to say thank you for your interest in wanting to better our community.

Before we begin, let's take a deep breath together. I know this is a lot, and I don't expect you to know or even read all our guides in a day. It will be like what I love to say, "Line Upon Line."

About Us & History

Let's start off by going over who we are, when we started, and a bit of our history.

Back before the days when the LYHMECommunity was even a thought, an old friend and I used to play games together ALL the time. I'm talking hours-long Skype calls, and one of the games we played was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360. During this time, he had created a clan based on bacon, so people had their gamertags as things like Crispy BCN and so forth. So, I was a part of that, and it was a fun time. We later moved from playing on the Xbox to PC. Oh man, did we play a lot: Garry's Mod, Minecraft, Portal 2, and so forth.

This was around the time I was exposed to hosting servers for the first time. My friend was the one who always hosted the Minecraft server itself, and we used a program called Hamachi to allow us to play together. But after a while, I wanted to create a server. So, I went to learn how to port forward, and let me tell you, that rabbit hole, oh boy, it sucked. I didn't know what I was doing, which later led me to just get a Minecraft server from MCProHosting, and I was excited! My thought was, it won't lag, and it will be great. Well, it ended quite quickly.

Around this time, we also played a lot of Battlefield 3. Side note: What a great game! Anyways, we broke away from using our names that included BCN, and he came up with Lehmon and Lyhme. He was Lehmon, and I was the Lyhme. After a while, he and I grew apart, but I kept with the name. Later, it became Uncle Lyhme in 2014, as I became an uncle, and what a proud moment that was for me. I wanted everyone to know I was an uncle.

Anyways, back to the story. With the knowledge and finally figuring out how to port forward and having that in my toolbox, I created a community called Lyhme's Network. I'd say the official date of creation was June 21, 2014, as it's based on the Steam group.

Little did I know, come early July 2014, Unturned 2 came out. I didn't play much, but I wanted to host a server for this game, and so I did, and it blew up! Tons of people started playing, and it was great. Later that month, due to how many people were experiencing lag and with school around the corner, I decided to close it down.

After some time, in September of 2014, I wanted to start back up again, and I wanted to do it the right way. I went through a host, and to put it simply, it sucked. This led me later to reach out to Vuxxy, the YouTuber, to get his help, and he mentored me on what to do. From that moment, we haven't stopped hosting, and you are here today.
